The sound
How Uljhan
is built.
Uljhan is where honesty forms its first knot. A deeper, hypnotic rhythm moves beneath muted guitar, warm synths and steady percussion, while sitar and the wordless voice trade small melodic phrases above it — almost like two sides of a conversation searching for somewhere to meet.
The tension never overwhelms the music. Tabla slips through in gentle accents, and the voice remains soft and calming against the darker pull underneath, holding warmth inside something that no longer feels simple. Love is still present. So is the hurt. Neither one makes the other disappear.
The truth is known now. What it means for two people who still care for each other is harder to answer.

Knowing does not settle the feeling.
You thought knowing might settle something. Instead, the facts become clear while your feelings grow harder to name. Anger is here. So is concern for the person beside you. Neither waits for the other to leave. What happened can be told in a few sentences. What it means to you keeps changing as those sentences settle in.

You want closeness. You need room.
You miss the ease of being near them, yet being near them can make the hurt sharper. A little distance offers room to breathe, then begins to feel like another loss. Both needs are yours. This is Uljhan: the tangle of wanting comfort from the same person you need space from. For now, neither closeness nor distance feels simple.

Even the good memories carry questions.
The happy memories still hold their warmth. A laugh. An ordinary afternoon. The ease you felt beside them. But each now comes with a question: did you understand that moment in the same way? Doubt reaches backward, even into what once felt certain. You are left between the happiness you remember and the uncertainty of what you did not know.

Understanding does not bring relief.
An explanation begins to make sense. You can see how fear or shame might have kept the truth unspoken. For a moment, you expect understanding to change how it feels. But the ache is still there. Knowing why you were hurt does not undo the experience of being hurt. The mind has found a reason; the feeling has not found relief.

The warmth returns. So does the hurt.
A familiar warmth returns before you are ready to trust it. For a moment, being together feels easy again. Then a memory catches, or a thought returns, and the distance is there. The change can feel like losing ground. Yet neither moment makes the other false. The warmth is real when it comes. So is the hurt when it returns.

Deciding becomes another weight.
The question of what comes next begins to feel heavier than not knowing. Any answer seems to leave something out: the love that remains, the trust that has changed, the part of you that needs more time. A decision promises an end to the uncertainty. But you can already feel the cost of saying you are certain before you are.

Something in you still wants closeness.
Beneath the changing feelings, one wish becomes clearer. You want to feel close again, with room for how much this hurt. The old ease is still what you miss, but pretending nothing happened would put another silence between you. Whatever comes next would have to include what you now know and how you now feel. The wish is here. The way is still uncertain.
