Belonging

Belonging is where Longing returns without the ache. A familiar melody rises again, but this time it moves with brightness and ease — carried by guitar, warm piano, an energetic pulse and the wordless voice answering with a joy that feels instantly recognizable.

Guitar and voice trade the melody, then find it together, while tabla and a buoyant rhythm bring movement beneath them. What once felt like reaching now feels received. The music is still gentle, still unmistakably itself, but something has changed in the space around it: there is another presence there now, moving alongside it.

Nothing has completed you. The joy comes from discovering that all of you can remain — your closeness, your difference, your private life, your shared one — and still have somewhere to belong.

The longing was never asking to be filled. Only answered.
